Join us for our Bambini Group for toddlers and parents. Bambinis explore various media and different kinds of materials outdoors and indoors with a toddler teacher while the parents participate in a support group led by Michelle Villegas, LSCW.
We discuss different parenting concerns in a private area of the school. The class is designed to be a good support for parent education and to prepare children for transition to preschool. Bambini Exploration

Flow of the Morning

Welcome Song and Circle Time

Our time together begins with circle time. This is the time when we reconnect and celebrate as we come together to share experiences, and make new friends.

Parent and Toddler Explorations

Wear old clothes and prepare to explore a wide range of beautiful, expressive media, for example, watercolor, clay, and collage. In-depth materials explorations give children the opportunity to develop their creativity, imagination and social skills. These explorations are set up as group experiences to encourage collaboration and problem-solving.

Toddler Group Snack-time

Children’s growing bodies, minds, and spirits require nourishing foods free of pesticides, hydrogenated oils, and other chemicals designed to increase a product’s shelf life instead of human life. Our snacks include: fresh veggies and fruits, rice cakes, etc. Snack-time is a time to share food, connect with our friends, and develop self-help skills.

Parent Discussion Group

During this time we will discuss a wide range of contemporary child development issues, views and stages of toddler development. Be a part of a nurturing community of parents and educators who will share with you the joys and challenges of being the parent of a toddler.

Toddler Outdoor Time

We understand and value the importance of children having time to connect with nature. Our beautiful outdoor environments give children time to explore nature through immersive experiences with clay, sand, water, natural materials and gardening. These experiences are set up to encourage children to connect with each other, develop peer relationships and make connections with nature.

Clean-up Time

Everybody works together as we all clean up together. Caring for our environment helps the children develop the disposition to care for and respect our space and materials.

Goodbye Circle

Our time together ends as it began. We come together in song to end our day.
